Name ::.. Barry Reilly.
AKA ::.. Barry Knight (due to posters and flyers, had to use
2 different names when working as a hypnotist or DJ in Spain).
From ::.. Ayrshire, Scotland. Moved to Spain at the age of
19. First working in Mallorca for 2 seasons in the early 90's
before settling in Gran Canaria in 1994. Returning to the
UK in 2008.
Music ::.. Barry has a vast collection and knowledge of all
types of music, starting off DJing at parties, weddings etc,
then moving into bars and clubs around Ayrshire, then to Magaluf
as the house music scene first kicked in. So music wise, anything
goes.
Radio ::.. Barry has presented popular peak time breakfast
and afternoon programs on various stations in the Canary Islands
over the years, including Kiss FM, Hot 98.8 & Radio Maspalomas
(the Canarian platform of Capital Radio's Holiday FM network).
Behind the scenes Barry has worked in radio production, recording
and editing commercials and jingles, providing voice-overs
for ads, jingles and political party broadcasts for Spanish
radio and TV.
Stage Hypnotist ::.. Barry first performed his stage show
in Mallorca and in Gran Canaria returning briefly in 1996
for a 4 month summer tour playing venues around the south
west of Scotland. Due to bad publicity in the press about
stage hypnosis shows in general at the time, Barry decided
to return to DJing.
Apart From DJing ::.. Barry has worked in promotion, design,
sales and advertising for radio and local publications. And
also is experienced in computer programming, designing and
managing web sites for real estate companies in Gran Canaria.
